It feels like your friend is trying to lock her down, then she tells you that she likes you and wants to be in a relationship with you, and you also like her back. How would you react to this situation?

Who cares if she likes her. Does she like them? Have they been on dates? Had they had sex? If the answer to all of those is no, then fair game.

I had that happen in college once. One of my best friends was always drooling over this girl but never made a move. Not that he cared a ton about her, but always commented on her looks to me when we saw her out. Granted I had a class with her and her arms were hairy and it always turned me off.

Anyways, one time I was out and so was she, and we got trashed and had sex in the middle of the night right in front of the college library. He was a little mad but then he just laughed about it.

I wouldn't want anything with her in that case. Friendship is always above girls.

I am not a guy, but I have to agree with Titan here. Friendship trumps a romantic interest... especially when she's just that, an interest and nothing more.

Who is choosing friendship over a girl here ... OP or OP's friend?

OP wants to have the girl and his friend, too.

If his friend wants to end the friendship then that's his friend's decision.

My guy friends and I always "claim" girls. Guy code states you must follow said claim.
