But FTR, you, and guys who think like you, are out of line for attempting to shame ANY woman for having had multiple partners. Therefore, I stand up and speak out so that younger women who are subjected to such nonsense can also find courage and confidence in themselves and know that they don't have to listen to you or make any apologies.

It's because they expect women to be ashamed of having any type of past, but if we have no past at all we're prudes.
MOST men have evolved past this, but not all, and the double standard isn't fresh or original. It's just sad and... well, yeah, backasswards is the best word for it!

We just can't win at all. But I suspect this is what most of the men on here want. Why do some of them on here want to control us so much? That's the part I don't get. This is not the 50s.

It's because men, by nature, are not creatures that are really meant to be "tied" down by things such as marriage. Not to say it is "wrong" in today's society, which is quite the latter, but basically by nature the biggest baddest of the male is supposed to spread their genes around. Obviously times have changed and the man is supposed to go after one girl. Usually women who sleep around often have some type of issues, but there's always that small category in both genders that void these rules.

Personally I could care less about how many men women sleep with but you can keep on worrying about something you will never know the truth about anyway.
