Go to any free porn site. Tons of "Your wife will never find out!" ads on the front page. I've yet to see one soliciting women. Why do you think that is?
The solicit men because not every man who chooses to cheat can go to the local bar and walk out with his choice or several different women, most women can. Even the unattractive women can usually find someone who will hook up with them.
Most studies clearly show that women cheat nearly as much as men. This is the problem when people make statements like so and so cheats more based on their own observations which are limited. In my life I have seen more women that have cheated than men. But of course this by no means that women cheat more everywhere.
Exactly!! Which is why the title of the OP is a ****ty question to ask in the first place. Someone isn't programmed to cheat based on gender.
I think is advertising to make money off of porn, I would guess. The more clicks made, the more money generated. I tend to get MILF banners myself.
Still, not sure what that has to do with cheating.
I don't look at straight women porn or erotica sites, so I have no idea what is marketed to women.
There's a large and obvious market, that's all. As for what's made for and marketed to women, not much.
Funny how in any other thread about female sexuality, a whole bunch of guys come out of the woodwork to insist that the female libido is no match for men's ... Yet here it's the opposite. In other threads, men are the pursuers while women sit on their hands. Lower sex drive + less initiative + the social and financial aspects I mentioned = more cheating? I think not.

I can't comment for those people. I'm in my early 40s and what I see in dating and from my peers, the women's libido is as stronger or stronger (I'm going with stronger) than most dudes my age.
Sure, men probably consume more porn. And if they were to cheat, they would use prostitutes or services more I would guess. My lady friends don't need to go through any of that if they want a side thing. It is simpler for them. They just go out and there it is.
That goes back to the oft-heard availability vs. quality argument. I could probably go pick up some guy in a bar tonight if I wanted to, but there is little guarantee it would be sexually satisfying for me while he is likely to get off. I think that long-term affairs among married men and women are probably roughly equal, because other factors come into play like craving emotional closeness or feelings of appreciation/admiration. One-night stands, however, no, I think married men have more of those, tipping the scales.
As a married woman, I have to consider my safety and the discretion of the person I am with. I wouldn't want my neighbors to find out, or my children. I believe we are more socially conditioned to be cautious about our reputations; we're not given the same "boys will be boys" pass that men are.

I'm not one of them either, but as time passes I realize more and more that I am atypical.
