I wouldn't anymore ask someone out via text than I would contact a prospective employer via text.

I said asking by text for a date is ok. But I wonder why you think that suddenly being in a potential relationship will take up less time and make your schedule suddenly less busy. My rule is, if youre too busy to spend time with me for dating, then youre too busy to be with me at all other than idle banter and drinks for happy hour every now and then. And I can do both by myself.
