Just because something is not for you - it does not mean that people who do it are "freaks". Judgemental much?
It sounds like they are in a multi person relationship and are interested in adding new people to this.
As someone who is in that kind of relationship myself I can not fathom this myself. My relationship evolved because we genuinely wanted to be with each other.
It sounds like they just want people in it for the sake of having people in it. They actively WANT more people - where as me and my partners just ended up in such a relationship and do not want to add more people. Thought never succoured to us to be honest.
So I can not fathom where they are coming from - but nor do I feel shock - or think them to be "freaks". They just have different goals and desires to me. That is all.
Simply make it clear to this person that you are on the "Dating" section in order to meet people for monogamous relationships only. And you can both move on.
