How do you know if the person you are talking too who you want to date, is truly single? Like you started talking to them via a dating site, but in reality they really have a wife or a Girlfriend or the girl really has a husband or a Boyfriend. How do you know if this person is really tell you the truth on them being single etc. Is there a way to tell? The internet is filled with a lot of liars, cat-fish, etc.

No, there is no simple way to tell if someone is deliberately hiding something from you.

You don't which is the problem. I met this great guy from a site a few times, and last time I met him found out he had a wife.

Experience has taught me to not rush things, Google the crap out of them, and pay attention to the details (you'll need them for Googling anyway). They all drop a hint sooner or later that they're not single. It's never intentional. And if something seems fishy, it is.
