I'm dating a younger guy and he has a strange fetish. He wants me to "mother" him. I'm not sure if this behavior is common among 20 something's? I'm about 12 years older than him and I find the behavior strange, but he gets so much pleasure from it.
It's extremely common. I'd say about 90 - 95% of young men desire to be "mothered" by women, say, about 10 to 12 years older, with all that that entails. So, you guys are spot on, right on track.
Whatever he likes, I'm sure there are other men who like that, too.
But the main issue is whether you like doing it or you're just doing it to keep the relationship going. If the latter, it is going to get awfully tedious or downright irritating as time goes by. Mothering someone, whether sexually or relationally driven, often leads to a total lack of desire for that person. So make sure you are getting what you need, too, not just catering to his needs.
It's not common in the "regular" world of guys but it is common as fetishes go...it's like that show on Discovery, I forget what it's called, where they highlight weird fetishes....grown men who want diapers put on them and sleep in giant cribs, people who dress in animal costumes, etc.
