I doubt this very much. They just don't tell you about it. I have 40+ years of sexual fulfillment to look forward to, and I'm 40. Some of my parents friends stopped having relations after 65, but they always had issues anyways. The ones who had a great sex life still do. Men and women still feel desire, and are still attracted to their spouse. They may or may not need a little help. Not all men need drugs and not all women need lube at a certain age.
They probably feel the desire(which I doubt) but they just never do it. They barely touch each other, they don't kiss, don't hold hands, don't hug etc.
I'm 100% sure that they are not having sex. There's no chemistry between them like, at all. I guess many married couples end up like them.
And quite frankly the idea of them having sex is quite disturbing to me as their son lol.

I think a lot of people, especially, young people, confuse someone being physically good looking, and them being attractive. While these things often have a strong correlation for many people, they are in no way the same thing at all.
In older age you're way out of your prime reproduction years so of course physical attraction and sex is not like it was.
