I'd like to think so, but I am a big coward, so I hope I am never put to the test.

It's not just male-psychology, biology, or common sense but through out history we see men putting their spouse and family behind to face danger. Women may have that instinct to nurture and look after the children but man would look after both. If a man stood behind his woman while she took a bullet we all know how that man would look like for the rest of his life. A woman standing behind her man while he takes the bullet is the normal thing in those kind of scenarios. Before certain person complains, this is not something good or bad, it is just how it is. A natural instinct if we may call it like that.

For my gf, sure! I do love her a lot and would do anything for her.
I would risk my life for someone I loved. Even a bullet...

[figuratively speaking]

Yep! I think most people would freeze. I hope I wouldn't.

Gotta be honest here. If one of my kids was being threatened, my need to protect them would be much stronger than my sense of self preservation. With my spouse, I think my self preservation would probably win.

LOL! good one

As for me, I'd take a bullet for my husband.

I don't even know how I'd live knowing I could have saved my husband but instead let him die (or hurt).

I know enough about those situations to know I can't predict how I would act. Like most, I would probably freeze, but I hope not.

And yes, I have been threatened with a blunt object and beaten horribly with it. I was young and kept enough wits about me to escape, in a rather dramatic fashion. /lol

I find that as I get older, I am more aware of the actual danger situations possess. When I was young I thought I was invincible!
