I"m wondering if it's possible for me to become a catch as a 34 year old woman with no long term relationship experience? I have just graduated from college and plan to attend grad school soon, and finishing within 2 years while I work. I have always pursued men and that never worked out. At this point in life is it worth it to go to bars and festivals with the hopes that I could meet someone to date? I'm smart, pretty, and funny. I get so lonely and have wanted to move far away, hoping it's the town, but I need to put in the work if I want to meet someone. I forgot to say I'm straight. I've tried tinder, pof, okcupid, etc and I can't connect with men online, plus the amount of creepy and disgusting emails I receive makes me lose hope in decency among men. I'm wanting to start over with a positive but realistic attitude towards dating.

Sounds like you need to watch the movie "Hitch" and then find someone to help you like Will does in this movie.

I think almost anyone can be a catch, but I don't know that you can make yourself that way. You may evolve into a catch over time (if you aren't one now). Pretty and smart will only get you so far. You have to have a pretty great personality.

I would be glad to post a photo, but not sure I want the whole world to know what I look like. Would that even be safe?

Well some things you either have or you don't.

Like being witty or charismatic. I think that's just within your personality, if you're gonna have it. I don't think being witty, or quick-witted, is something you can learn. Same for charisma.

But you can improve yourself in other ways. Like looks. Experiment with different styles, and wear things that are flattering, but within your taste. Try different hairstyles. Maybe some make-up, like different eye stuff.

But being a "catch" rests with an individual. One guy's catch is another guy's throw away. So all you can do is look at yourself, and think if there's certain things you could add to, and improve upon. It can build your confidence, and that may improve your outlook.

With a catch. For some guys a woman who is demure and hasn't had that many sex partners, or who's still a virgin is a rare find and catch. Other guys wouldn't want anything to do with a woman like that.

Of course it is! It's not like it comes with your real name and contact information. If someone harasses you later on, just say someone else just created an account and posted your pic. No sweat. Many of the people here on CD and outside of CD might even have their pics already being used by other people without them knowing it.
