I've never been an "I love you" everyday type, It seems to lose it's punch if you say it too much, but heck, whatever works for each couple. I used to work with a guy and he'd say it to his wife on the phone probably 2 or 3 times a day. Sounded sort of trite to me, but whatever.

I was the same way, until I almost lost my wife. Maybe I'll share the story here someday, I'm not ready yet as it's still being written. Now I say it every chance I get.

I worked with a guy that would say it every time he spoke to his wife on the phone too and thought the same.
