My father met his second wife after he and my mother divorced. He was 21, and she was in her forties. They stayed happily married until the day she died at age 75. From my experience, I would have to say yes.

It depends on the man though. My father already had a child, so he wasn't looking for that in his second wife. I don't know if the relationship would have lasted if he didn't already have a child. Oddly, I suspect it would have. Love conquers all.

I know it will vary man to man, but how can you tell?
Depends on the emotional maturity of both parties. In general, I'd say no. But then again, some 42 YO men are very immature and some 22 YO women mature beyond their years.

That said, no. For me personally and likely for most of my friends, the answer is no.

i'm 21yo guy and I also don't take women in this age range seriously, but nor do I take older age ranges seriously since they wouldn't take me seriously either I assume, and that is an assumption since I hear stories all the time of bad experiences from both parties with a very big age difference.
