I thought it was rather shocking. Especially because I am FOR stronger regulation of weapons in this country. I have a feeling things are not going to work out between us. We've been talking for a while - but he still likes to hang out with people who have been in jail and that bugs me. We are supposed to have dinner Friday night for our first meeting. I have a feeling one of us is going to cancel it.

If you've got a bad vibe then yes cancel, it's better to go out with someone with a clear mind I'm sure you'd agree?
My bad vibe is due to a number of things. He is 3 years younger than me, he's 49, I'm 53 - and he is one of the best looking men I've ever seen in my life. I'm not bad looking, but feeling a little insecure about being older. Yesterday, he casually tells me he want to the beach with a married woman and her three children, a woman who was just released from jail who is in her 30s AND has a boyfriend she just bailed out of jail! He says, she's just a friend and that he is not interested in her, and that he just wants to get his 14 year old daughter who is Autistic out and around others. He claims to be a Christian and even goes to church sometimes. I'm thinking, I'm a Christian and I avoid church. And then I wonder, why would he want his daughter to be around children caught up in a situation where the mother is clearly neglectful, living in adultery with a criminal boyfriend? WTF?
I feel like I'm an outsider because I've never been in trouble with the law, nor do I hang out with criminals. So I'm really rethinking this. I don't think I trust this person.
That's your inner voice, your conscience, telling you what to do. Pay attention.
Thank you. I wish it were not saying what it's saying
