A little backstory:
When I started being attracted to him, and he came near or passed me, I would immediately walk away or look away. I avoided eye contact with him while he looked at me directly in the eye, almost waiting to see if I would ever look at him. I gave him the coldest body language ever, but this was because I just found him so attractive. After my cold body language, he started to avoid me. He didn't come near me anymore and he stopped looking at me directly. I would still see him stealing glances at me, but that was about it.
I knew I was losing his interest, so whenever I caught him walking passed me again, I just gave him the longest stare ever looking directly into his eyes. lol Finally, it was after my stares, that he started to act like he was still interested again.
Just this week, for the entire hour I was there, he was always no more than a few feet away from me. It didn't matter what exercise I did, he was there either stretching, flexing or lifting his weights. We just kept stealing looks at each other. We were just a few feet away from each other, but neither one of us said anything. The gym we go to is huge and there are hundreds of people around. It makes it very hard for anyone to flirt. I even asked another guy to help me get something and my crush looked at us when I did that. I just can't get the nerve to ask him for help instead or talk to him in any other way.
Whenever I leave the floor, 5-10 minutes later, he would also leave (like to see where I went), but we never catch each other on our way in or out of the gym. When I got done with the gym the other day, I even waited a few minutes at the front to see if he was done, and see if he or I would finally talk to each other since we would be officially away from our workouts.
Since most of you all said I should not give him a note with my number, I'll be crossing that off my list. I'm just waiting (im)patiently now for him to talk to me. I'm trying not to get so nervous when I see him and try to smile at him, but I haven't had the chance to walk passed him recently, so I haven't smiled at him or say hi yet.
Also, it's been a few months, but I only get to see him once a week. Two if I get lucky. I'm not the type that throws herself at guys. I've always been the shy type and hope that he notices me enough to make the first move. This one is just taking longer and I'm losing patience.
i'll take a shot of Cabo Uno tequila on the side...
