There are only a handful of people who I would lay my life down for my mom of course & then my GF she is my life & my future. So of course she is tied to me as well. I do have 5 GOOD friend's who I'd take one for but only because I know they would for me as well, & they are like family but yes most of the time people would only lay down their life for family.
If that man or woman happens to be your daughter or son than yes i can definitely see it.
