From what distance does it count as LDR?

I had several. From 2 hours drive - 20 hours flight.

I had a long distance "something" with a guy. More like a one sided crush.

Our interest in one another was nothing but a fantasy. While he was living his life, I was on the other end pining for him and waiting for the day we'd finally meet. Never happened. We never met, he eventually got a girlfriend, and had a baby (I think.) I continued to be happily single ever since.

*shrugs*

Lol I was a naive teenager.

20 hour flight? You can circumnavigate earth in 20 hours. Mod cut.

Anywho. I couldn't handle LDR for very long. I need frequent physical intimacy or else its not a relationship in my book.

Done it before.
Hated it.
Don't recommend it.

I was in an LDR for little over of a year with my wife, then fiancé, during a deployment. I saw her during the 15 days of leave allowed that year. Other than that, I called her everyday (sometimes twice) on those crappy FOB landline phones. It worked out for us in the end, but only bc we were very dedicated to making that happen.

I honestly think that's the only way an LDR really works ... if it's in the middle of an already established relationship.

In my observations, those that start off as LDRs don't tend to last.
