I thought you did come accross as humble, no? Maybe that's just in comparison to so much obnoxious I see.
Awkward is fun, and funny! I like it. But if you can't laugh at yourself...no so much.
My style is usually reserved and probably humble, but there's a colossal a$$hat trapped within trying to breathe free. He sneeks out here every now and then.
And honestly, I would never advise someone to stay awkward if they had a choice, but I don't, and so thankfully some people find it endearing. And some of those people are women.
And if he wanted a committed relationship and found out it was just going to be FWB? She better be prepared to wake up with a plastic bag over her head and him standing there, "Whassup now Playah?".

I would deserve that! Like the guy I asked to leave when I thought I knew him better, but he revealed he doesn't really even live in the same state as me. Instead of going out the door, he locked himself in my bathroom for half an hour, did something horrible on the wall, and then stopped at the fridge for a beer on the way out. That'll learn me! I think it's called a coffee date.
Though I wouldn't consider what happened here "playing"
It sounds more like a stupid person not being careful or thinking ahead
