The evolution of U.S. society in various ways has made it increasingly difficult to meet people - so people are now more interested in trying online dating sites - especially in the older age brackets - also because college is the best place to meet potential partners, it's all downhill as to plentiful opportunities to meet after college.
just like everything in life, timing and luck matters. You have to be patient (cliche I know)
haha I'm not getting any younger..patience isn't working anymore

Good point. Definitely finding it near impossible to make friends these days.
Never tried OLD but on paper it sounds like a great idea. OLD isn't really all that new in the sense that there has always been personal ads in the olden days of print press.
I'd try it if I were single and looking to get back into the game. Again, sounds good on paper.

you're right. It does sound great on paper! But its not as easy 1-2-3. Its still dating like it's always been.

You're probably right, again, never done it but you and many others have mentioned over the years that it's tough, so most likely it can be rough still.
I have no idea why people believe this. They must not have actually tried it.
No, I never have. Been married for 24 years. But because I believe these things I wouldn’t do it. I live in an area of roughly 700,000 people within a one hour drive. If I couldn’t find someone I liked (who liked me, too) among them, I would think I was just too hard to please. But that’s just my honest opinion on it. I truly think most men do it for hook-up reasons.
