I'm watching the film ' evening ' and it's about a dying woman reflecting on and having flashbacks of her one true love.It got me thinking about whether people feel they met their one true love? Or did you have a range of loves and none really seemed exceptional? or were they all exceptional and none really stands out as better than another? Or did you have one really pivotal love that when you're dying that's who you will be thinking of.

It’s possible to be in love over and over. If you’re a pet owner, for example, do you think of that one great collie and forget the beagle and the hound?

Usually the person you choose to marry has many of the better aspects of their predecessors. You won’t get everything, but it’s unhealthy to sit around and draw comparisons.

You’re watching a sad movie full of melodrama.

Met my 16th year on earth. No, left me in the dust.

My second true love I've been married to for 27.5 years.

I don't believe in "one true love."

I do think there are people who will mean more to you than others, but i think it's possible to truly love more than one person in your life.

First love would probably be more appropriate.

Experiencing and sharing the joys of love is all that matters to me, whether its with one or numerous women throughout my life.
