With some addictions you actually get something, but with smoking what do you really get? Black lungs and the need for another cig.
sex addiction - check (get my rocks off with a fine honey)
porn addiction - check (I get to see some nice eye candy on TV! and get my rocks off LOL)
food addiction - check (eating food which fills my stomach and offers nutrition)
video game addiction - check (playing video games, yay fun! Can be educational too)
shopping addiction - check (I bought something I can show for and I can hold it in my hand or put in on my shelf to look at!)
Let me break it down for you.
Addiction with sex, porn, cigararettes/cigars/chew alcohol, food, drugs, shopping, and even video games! There are tons more of addictions.......

Diffrent addictions call for diffrent matters, and dysfunctions, apparently, you haven`t taken anything more in your life, than an aspirin.

I was recently offered Vicodin for the pain of my foot, broken in 2 places.
I turned it down. They offered again. I said no, that stuff is addictive, and I don't want to find out the hard way that I'm wired for it.

I agree with you too. Smoking is one of the most destructive addictions out there!
