I think I would choose the man who IS older but LOOKS younger.
A younger man who looks older, I would be on the lookout for reasons why. Extreme stress, unhealthy life habits or addictions, or major health concerns come to mind. Like I've got an uncle who looked much older than he was, because he spent a period of time addicted to heroin for instance. And people who smoke a lot of cigarettes and spend tons of time in the sun with no sunscreen, often look older than they are. Not healthy. I think that men usually age well, if nothing they do is preventing them from aging well.
But I would be ok with a man who is 60 and looks 60. I like older guys in general.
So for ladies .. if say you meet 2 different guys. 1st guy is say 45 yr old but looks like 35 yr old.. 2nd guy is 35 yr old but looks say 42 yr old .. which one would you rather date?
Someone who is actually young in age but look old or someone who is old but looks young for his age ?
I would pick the one that I am attracted to..simple enough.
I went to my 40th High School reunion a couple of years ago. It was kind of shocking at how differently people had aged. We were all more or less 58. Some people looked an unhealthy 70. Others looked a vigorous 45. Genetics. Alcohol. Tobacco. Diet. Exercise. Stress. Sun exposure. For the most part, the top-20% of the class who went to top colleges and lived professional lives tended to look much younger. The newly retired Marine general who went to Annapolis looked about 45. The physicians/dentists/lawyers mostly looked 10 years younger than their age.
I wouldn't care about that at all, there are a whole bunch of things more important to me.

Once IRL I met a guy who looked just like this: Dr. Michael Hunter from "Last Hours Of" (whatever dead celebrity). That gray and whitish hair combined with a younger cute face just does something for me.
So my answer is younger, but looks older, so no one knows I'm robbing the cradle of 38 year olds.
