Well, unless there's pharmaceutical interference, like anti-depressants or oral contraceptives. Those kill it for some women.
Yeah, some guys are inexperienced (clueless) about women. A lot of men think most women function exactly like men (see some booty and boobs on TV - instant erection/arousal) LOl

Ive learned its more the "mood" (state of mind) of a woman, rather than whats can be played on Netflix or PornHub to get her moist. If she's not horny, it doesn't matter what's on TV. What a lot of guys dont know how to do is to get a woman in the mood.

That's why I keep promoting that book.

It talks about first, taking care of anything that is hitting "the brakes" on a woman's desire. All the reasons in her mind NOT to want sex. Helping to make sure she isn't overwhelmed with stress or exhausted, or that there are not unsaid things or emotional blocks getting in the way. Growing trust, and the ability to be vulnerable with a partner, which is necessary for her to communicate her desires.

Only after you have released the "brakes" can you effectively start using the "accelerator" --or the elements that take her from a neutral but positive state, to getting actually in the mood.

Doing this stuff takes a lot of communication, mainly. It is not as simple as a button you can push to get a result. But a good relationship does require some nurturing, and the woman can't be the only one doing it.

By Emily Nagosky. I'm reading it now thanks to your recommendation! It's a bit dry but I purchased the ebook and I'll eventually have read it all. Thanks again!

Hm...Interview With a Vampire maybe, or the Gary Oldman version of Dracula perhaps? How about soundtracks? I wouldn't say that the film, The Crow, does it for me necessarily, but the soundtrack was sure a winner.
I hope you mean "The Crow: City of Angels," (the first Crow movie of four). That's one of my very favorite movies and the sound track is totally kick arse! I purchased both the DVD and CD, and also purchased CDs for many of the artists appearing in the sound track. (Courtney Love's version of "Gold Dust Woman" blows away the Stevie Nicks version! [bands: Hole, and Fleetwood Mac])

Sadly, The Crow #2-#4 were dismal, not worth the time out of your life to watch them.

BTW I have "Flashdance" and "Dirty Dancing," both because I loved the movies and hope one day to see them again with my future partner. Both these movies also have great sound tracks!

I occasionally watch all three of the movies above just because I enjoy them.

I agree, I think that while the author knows her stuff and there's tons of useful info in there, she's not the most talented writer. Just when it comes to writing a book that is easy and engaging to read. I nearly wish she could have gotten all of her ideas out in a list format and then given them to someone who is better at writing them out for her, but whatever. It is the information that is valuable. If I were out to read an engaging story, I'd be cracking open some fiction.

There is only one Crow movie. We do not acknowledge the others. The one and only Crow movie had the late, great Brandon Lee in it. I am familiar with Courtney Love, but I do not share your passion for female singers. I prefer the contributions by The Cure, Nine Inch Nails, Machines of Loving Grace, and My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult. EDIT: City of Angels was not the first, it was the first SEQUEL after "The Crow." The Crow was 1994, City of Angels was 1996. The original is the one I love.

But anyhow. There is nothing more subjective than taste. I figure it follows, as I've said and others have said, he will have more luck asking his wife what she likes than asking us what we do. Anyone else know of any good steamy historical fiction bodice ripper movies or series, like The Tudors?

And can anyone who has seen more of Outlander than I have, confirm or correct me on whether that is a good suggestion?

For the record, I liked ALL the songs in City of Angels' sound track. I'll agree that the Brandon Lee movie is the only one worth watching, it's is just totally awesome 11-12 on a 10 scale. (It's one of my personal top 10 movies ever.) I sense we're going off topic. This movie is so emotionally satisfying, and most men will love the action! I always tear up at the ending.

I read a chapter or two of Nagosky's book every now and then. It is well worth reading for all women who want to understand their sexuality, and for men who want to understand women better. I totally got it at the point where she mentioned that men have a very obvious "excitement indicator" which allows developing men to associate their sexual attraction to women, where women without such indicator have to figure out their sexuality by deducing it from emotional and other cues happening around them. Even this fact alone explains why women's sexuality is so different from men's. I'm currently reading the brakes and accelerator part.

Anything that can make you think or alter your mind space can “put you in the mood”
If it makes you feel, you feel.

Oh yes. Deadpool. Very romantic. Also, The Matrix Reloaded & Revolutions, even if they aren't nearly on par with the first.

I have never seen The Tudors or Outlander so I can not say, but what about The Crown? (I haven't seen that either, just throwing it out there so hopefully someone else can confirm or deny)

I find it amusing that my boyfriend is more into "chick flicks" than I am.

He subjected me to one called "Murphy's Romance." Afterwards, though I find his sentimentality very endearing, I was kinda like, "Seriously?"
