This exactly!
If I'm dating someone, casual or otherwise, I'm only dating
that one. It could evolve into a full blown relationship - or one (or both) of us decides that the spark just isn't there and we part ways. A couple of years ago I was "casually" dating a woman and after ten dates (yes, we did have sex) discovered that the spark just wasn't there. I hated to end it, but I had no other choice.
