I haven't dated this man for long...he has told me when he was 5 his mother and his uncle molested him and masturbated at night..he was bullied by his other siblings and his mother.
When he was 5 he was adopted by 2 sisters. He said he recieved lots of therapy for years.
He is a little different but for the most part it really creeps me out if we are out eating dinner or whatever he stops in mid sentence or cut me off if somebody walks in with a child and he moves around to make sure he has a good look at the kid..then a few minutes he excuses himself to go to the bathroom and walks by the kid smiling.

I have 5 older brothers I have never seen any of my brothers act that way.

Plus he let's his mom read his text messages and some if them were dirty and she gets grossed out about it. I didn't know until later on when he told me.

I had him why would he show his mother the texts and he responded " I have nothing to hide"

He told he is proud being a mama's boy.

I dumped him and he didn't care. I felt he was more in love with his adopted mother than me.

He told me sometimes when we were on the phone together she would be out in the hallway listening in.

Last week when I ran into him at a store he felt shy but I felt like just being nice to him and he grabbed my hand asking if I had missed him and I told him I let go and said " only as a friend"

He told me to call him...well I didn't want to say no in front of a bunch of people. I said "okay"
But I never did.

Did I do the right thing?

He obviously needs better therapists or lied about going to any.
If you're even asking about this, might be you could benefit from one, too

Sounds like he may be damaged.

Might be.

Good possibility.

Best thing you did was breaking it off with him.

You did the right thing.

Sounds like the semi sad backstory of a Law and Order SVU bad guy. Hopefully he finds help but it may be too late. And of course your bothers don't act that way. No sane person does.
