Even if it's not actually a big deal, what trait about you might make someone who was otherwise interested go "Uhhh... maybe this isn't such a good idea"?

I have to imagine the sheer amount of time I spend alone outside work (i.e. the vast majority of it) comes off as sketchy to some. But I'm just reading, writing, doing research, and going on personal walks and bike rides.

1. Work a lot
2. Ethnicity
3. I have long term female friendships
4. Previous open relationships and views on sexuality
5. Children
6. History of depression

I too spend a fair amount of alone time. A lot of my hobbies/interests are the type you enjoy alone; working on projects, archery, reading, photography etc.. Never been a problem for me though as I don't mind taking up new things that can be enjoyed as a couple ex: hiking (take the camera along).

Those would be mine, too- I was a gleeful participant in the sexual revolution although all my relationships were hetero, and I cheated on my first husband when the marriage was on the rocks and had been for years. I was a good and faithful wife to my second husband, a dear man who died 2+ years ago- never even tempted in the almost 20 years we were together. Any guy who has a problem with the ancient history in my background isn't worth my time.

Fortunately, there are guys who like "alone time", too. I have one now and life is good.

1. I’m an ahole.
2. I’m a very big man physically.
3. I’m very impatient.
4. I tend to have a temper and will resort to closing myself off to keep the temper in check.

You know what happens with your list, Dis. Your favorite people around here will throw it in your face next time you say something.

I consider red flags to be things you discover after someone has made at least a decent impression of some sort, sufficient that you're in the "get top know more about them" phase. So I don't see appearance related stuff as red flags. In fact, being at least mildly attracted to someone's looks is often the precursor to discovering a red flag. So mine are,

-I'm a big sports fan
-I curse frequently
-I'm pretty far left of center politically
-I'm not religious
-I'm an introvert
