So, my boyfriend is leaving today to spend some time on the Cape with his family. I can't go until this weekend due to work and some other stuff. Anyway, he said his sweet goodbyes and dropped me at work this morning and said he'd call me when he gets to MA.
Well, a few minutes ago I get an email from my boss that says "Turn Around". I do, and there my boyfriend is with a couple dozen of my favorite flower (calla lillies). I'm stunned and he's just grinning from ear to ear. After I stammered out a "What's going on?" he explains that he wants to tell his Mom as soon as he gets off the plane so he had to ask me before he left. I was like "ask me what?" (duh, right? But I just didn't expect it). Then he grabs my hands and in front of ALL my coworkers asks me to spend the rest of my life with him. I said (more like breathed) yes, everyone clapped (kinda cheesey, I know) and we went into one of the private offices so we could say goodbye in private. He wants us to marry at his parents compound on the Cape next Memorial Day Weekend.
HOW am I supposed to handle work the rest of the day, much less tomorrow and my half day on Friday?
Of course, mostly I'm just really HAPPY! I want to share it with -well- everyone!
