So I was watching a sitcom last night, where there a guy about to propose to his girlfriend, only to hold himself back, because he's heard from his buddies that:
"Once you give a woman the engagement ring, she would turn from a sweetheart into this nagging, controlling b____h!"
Hence, supposedly this is one of the reasons that men don't want to get married. Any thoughts?

That's not true.
They know enough to keep it under wraps till he says, "I do."
She will however get alittle crazy with all the wedding plans and pretty much drive him to the crazy house. The guy will still go through with it though.

Sort of like:
If you hear weird sounds during the test drive, don't buy the car!
so if she turns into someone undesirable,
he can break the engagement and leave before the wedding occurs
so can she, if he turns into Mr. Inattentive once she says "yes"
it's much worse if one of them turns into Dr Jekyll or Mrs. Hyde AFTER the wedding

About as true as men turn into Al Bundy after you get married
When someone is committment phobic, they can find an excuse and any excuse will do.

Read my posts from this week and ask me what I think about that... lol.
Seriously, some women are and some are not... the trouble is marriage is kind of a white elephant. You never know for sure what you are getting until you open the gift... AFTER you got married. My wife changed big time... and is a total greedy, lying, disrespectful, abusive 8itch now... she was not at first. Do not marry young women... do not marry young, period. They CHANGE... again, white elephant... you have no idea where that change will take you... it took me to the depths of hell.
That is true. When women get what they want (marriage, kids, money) they change for the worst. Ask any married guy. Women like to play like marriage is this little happily ever after story and how great it is for the guy. Never being alone, always getting sex, companionship etc. Turns out shortly after you sign the contract you wish the opposite - you wish you could be alone when you wanted to, you wish you could get sex and you don't want companionship with someone who has fallen out of love with you.
