The Apple never falls far from the tree. Even without the sister connection at play, dating the sister is a major risk because she could have even more drama by herself.
You mention that you were attracted to her since the "beginning". That would mean to me that the entire time you were dating your girlfriend, you were attracted to her sister as well. We can't help who we are and aren't attracted to, that much I will give you. However, the breakup may have been hard on her, and for you to then make advances toward her own sister will be the ultimate hurt.
In this scenario, the right thing to do is to remain friends with both of them, but pursue neither going forward. You are old enough and wise enough, and hopefully mature enough to see and understand this. If so, you can sacrifice your own feelings to protect another's. Not doing so will undoubtedly cause much heartache and strife between the two sisters which can be avoided. It may be a tough decision but a mature person will weigh all the obstacles and make the right choice.
Oh, come on people. Think of the entertaining posts OP can make if he dates the sister. I say we encourage him to go for it!
I agree. I can't wait until his post about the fireworks during Thanksgiving dinner...and then a month later, Christmas!!
