I want women to respond to this inquiry with their opinions about "confidence" in a man and I will respond with my opinion.
After dating for about 1 week, my bf rips a big nasty fart while we are talking and goes on like nothing happened. Thats confidence!

Yup, me too, except I like them even more if they are still geeky....and female.

You know you feel comfortable with someone if you can fart in their presence and not feel embarrassed.

I am the exact same way.

My ex-boyfriend before my husband was so funny, and fun, and confident (and made a butt load of money, but I never took a dime) and handsome! He was so my type it was scary. But I never committed to him even when he asked. I knew he was the kind who could never ever be faithful - ever.

I told him I could trust only as far as I could throw him, and he was 240 pounds.

LOL,here we go with the badboy vs "I settled for less than what really turns me on for the sake of security" argument.

Translation= I really like being challenged by a guy,who makes me chase him and work to keep him and the sex is awesome but now that Im older my needs for a family have taken over so I settled for less to get another side that I desire also which is family and security but my husband is a "great" guy and good with the kids".
