I think old is a state of mind. I'm close to 40, still look 28, feel about 25, act older sometimes, act younger sometimes and some days, I feel a LOT older. The bones creak and crack, I have back pain, knee pain some days and other days feel like a spring chicken.
I just think that it's a state of mind.

I totally agree....it is a state of mind.....i'm 27 (just turned 27), and honestly, I feel no different than I did 5 years ago.....I work out, I maintain my body and do lots of Yoga (takes away stress).....as long as you take care of yourself you could "be" young forever well until your 80.

my friend just turned 70 and she said "old" to her is now 90

my kids are in their early 20's, old to them is over 30.

I am 49, old to me now is 60, but when I was 30, old to me was 50.

So "old" is 15-20 years older than whatever you are now!

When you were younger??? And you are only 21 now???

I lump 21 year olds into the age range 16 to 21

you aint old, till your dead.

if you think 50 is old, consider the fact that people still live 20 years after that.
20 years is a LONG time. for niko its your lifetime.
you have way much more life to live and feelign ancient is silly and ridiculous.

so 20 years after 50 is 70 right?
and even at 70, there will be someone whos got 20 years on you then as well.
thats 20 years more of life they have on you. 20 years of more experience.

so life goes on and the best way to stay young is to not think about your age.
its only a number.
i prefer gauging my age on my lived experiences.

at 20 you have potentially only lived 1/4 of your life.

you are a baby.
dont fret. its the silliest thing to think about.
actually its cause for concern.
see someone about this.

or tell us, why do you feel ancient? dont you feel you have a longer lifespan than 21?

As one who is not liking the aging process I can tell you 27 is NOT old.

I'm 48. Just got my first pair of reading glasses. The doc says, "hey, that comes with age". As do the unexplained aches and pains.

So in a way, it is a state of mind, but there are physical manifestations.

I have to work out a lot and really watch what I eat to maintain what I got, or really cut back on eating to lose weight.

Your metabolism slows down. You don't burn as many calories. Plus, as most of us do, I have desk job which makes maintaining shape that much more difficult.

So enjoy your 27ness, relish your youth, for before you know it, it wlll be gone.
