Regardless of your age, what is still on your list of "what you want to do before you leave this life" or "I have always wanted to _________ " and have not yet gotten around to it.

I was having this conversation with someone the other day and we got to comparing lists. Regardless of how much time you have left on this planet, what do you really really really want to do before your time runs out? They can be seen as "goals" or "wishes" or "dreams" or "longings" or "I've always wanted to _____ "

This is about "relationship with self" and "relationship with life" so I am putting it in relationships forum.

Here are some for me:
1. Spend some time (months? years?) in the British Isles visiting and exploring the stone circles
2. Go to the pyramids on the Yucatan Peninsula
3. Go backpacking and camping with my eldest son
4. Kayak in the finger lakes area
5. Hike to the bottom of the Grand Canyon and back
6. Get married again

As always, looking forward to your wonderful posts, and may all our lives be happy, joyous, free, and deeply nourishing

Most of my 'still want to do' things revolve around travel and what I want to see.

1: Travel to Vietnam
2: See the Northern Lights
3: Show my husband Thailand
4: Relax in Bora Bora
5: Live in Australia
6: Get back into horse riding

I feel really lucky, but I have done many of my 'must do's' already. I'm always thinking up new ones though!

I want to get more into motorsports. I would love to enter into a rally event as a driver. Being a co-driver or navigator doesn't really appeal to me. The next step for me is saving up to take a rally driving class at a local driving school.

yeah, you put that well, hobo, that's sort of what led up to this, reflecting back on having done so many things in life that I did set out to do, which led to the very pleasant place now of planning and implementing more "dream come true" items for the menu!

Mine also revolve around traveling and our hobbies, for the most part:

1) Show my husband the part of Africa where I lived
2) Go birdwatching on all 7 continents
3) Visit Antarctica (this is part of #2, but I REALLY want to go there!)
4) Travel back to Russia with our Russian-adopted kids when they are teenagers to show them the country of their births
5) Visit those 8 states I haven't been to: Arkansas, North Dakota, Kentucky, Alabama, Kansas, Idaho, Missouri and Nebraska
6) See at least 1000 species of birds (I have 650+ to go!)
7) Get in much better shape

1) Visit Machu Picchu.
2) Have at least 3 days to walk EVERY major Civil War battlefield and absorb it.
3) Work as one of those Weather people that stands in the teeth of a hurricane and reports while battling the elements.
4) Be able to support my family while working a career that I enjoy.

Interesting, so what were some of your must do things that you HAVE done??

Some of mine:

1: A lot of travel - almost 40 countries.
2: Sky dive
3: Bungee jump
4: Swam with dolphins
5: Whale watching in New Zealand
6: Graduated university
7: Married a really good man
8: Had a six figure paying job (for a while at least )
9: Went to see the Moreno glacier in Argentina
10: Did a massive full renovation of a house and made it BEAUTIFUL!
11: Got a dog (and still have her - she's my sig picture)
12: Learned to speak a foreign language fluently
13: Lived in four different countries for a significant period of time (2 yrs+)
14: Made my own money and took care of myself
15: Cultivated a great relationship with my Mother
16: Saw the Egyptian and Mexican pyramids

And I've thought of another 'must do'

- Cultivate a better relationship with my Father. We get on fine, but it's kind of superficial.
