I had one of those today, too, even though mine was more of the socially retarded type...
On the bright side, the 20 something clerk at Trader Joe's wanted to know my life story and said 'have a good day, beautiful!' Hey, he doesn't work for tips after all!

Had a young gal tell me the other day that she thought I was 7 years younger than I actually am! Made me feel so good!

Ha-ha, how'd ya know... I guess he was quite generous considering how I brushed him off about the life story. If there is one reason I'd like to get rid of my accent it's the constant dumb questions - where I'm from, what brought me here, etc... Sick & tired; tired & sick!!! And if you tell them the country specifically 90% say "oh, that's nice..." WTF is nice about it?! It's a country... there's nothing nice or not nice about it... you've no clue about it... why are you asking?! So I usually abbreviate the response to the continent or part of the continent.
