It could be in your marriage or relationship, in the way your partner treats you, talks to you, makes love to you, or it could be an escape from your marriage, something you have acted upon in the past or fear that you might in the future. It could have nothing to do with romance or sex or any other person besides you, just something that simmers in your heart or hearts when you have those quiet moments of truth alone with yourself. What's missing in your life?
The give and take of deep conversation; to touch and be touched, to hold and be held, to truly see and be seen...in real time.
That's a moving statement Indi9, and I've been there too, as all of us have. There are degrees to loneliness however, lengths of time, severity, and other conditions would inform it; but wait, I am equivocating, using the wrong side of my brain in an effort to be helpful. This is one of the biggest blessings in my life and very important to me too
Other than that, what I truly long for is to live in the mountains, to wake up to them every day. To hear the wind rustling the leaves in the trees as I drift off to sleep at night on that mountain. And to live the slower paced, simpler life to be had there.
Nah... we know our Chow. He IS a sensitive sweetie. Now, if it were one of the rest of us, the statement could've been questionable. Still, we all want the same things... the difference is some respond in a more open and some in more cynical way.
I meant every word. It seems that on this leg of my journey I am destined to live a very public life as an instructor, writer, and performer. I love this, but the kind of intimacy I yearn for is at the moment missing for me here in the big city.
