Today Rcm and I were talking about curiosity and it reminded me I'm curious about something, too. There are quite a few married men on the forum. I've always wondered what their motivation for being here is. Since men are not known for being fans of "relationship" talk, I guessed that those who are here must be having some problems. Sure enough, little by little many have unveiled them, even some I wouldn't expect it from. Yet, many continue claiming to have happy marriages.

So, my question is - what a happily married man gets out of a forum like this one? Are you just representing the minority of men who enjoy talking about relationships? Are you just killing time at work? Do you just like the group of people here and prefer talking with them about anything, not necessarily about relationships? Do your wives know about your participation? Do they like the idea of it or do they resent the fact you're part of such a forum?

I'd be interested in your input.

I'm not a married man, but I came here because I had a problem and wanted the input of others.

Maybe this is their form of counseling?

Even happily married men have experience to help those of us that strive to achieve that someday... maybe this is their role.

My husband said this: There must be dirty talk on here for her to have such a sexist opinion...and if there is, my wife is in such deep sh*t.

Entertainment.

Nah, not me.

Bingo.

I do like the people here, but on most threads I am here more as a lurker than a participant.

Nope. She's so paranoid she thinks I'm trying to do any woman I can. That is SOOOOOO far from the truth.
