Okay ladies listen up for gift ideas. A sirius or XM radio and 1 yr subscription would be a excellent gift for a man. Also a new BBQ grill would be nice.
All men want different things. You need to try to get it out of him instead of asking strangers on the internet. Almost all of my guy friends are different, what one would want and enjoy as a xmas gift the others would not. Some guys would be happy with a new plasma HD tv, other guys would not because they really want an 1080p LCD HDTV instead.
Some guys like cologne, other guys dont like it or are very specific about the colognes they wear. Some want Xbox, others prefer Playstation.
What kinds of things is your husband into? Gaming? Guns? Computers (Mac or PC)?
i was thinking the same thing......No offense OP but you should know what your husband likes you spend the most time with him outside of his co-workers....but go to that mall with him and pay attention to what he looks at and picks up...look in his closet and car...who knows your husband better than you?

While others have said tools, I'll be more specific and say a set of rechargeable battery operated tools. It should include a hammer drill, reciprocating saw, and circular saw at minimum and can include flash light, power screwdriver and radio. Make sure it have the highest voltage batteries available. The more power the better.
I second the GPS idea as well as the satellite radio & subscription...or any gadget close to that (mp3, etc.)
Do you live near any big-time race tracks? My husband was a truck owner but always wanted a jaguar - for years. When he finally could afford it, he bought one; then was bummed cuz he couldn't really enjoy it at a "legal" speed. By chance I found a pretty famous race track that offers periodic "amature days" where you get to fly around the track. I bought him a gift cert. for that & it's all he talked about for years afterward.
I think the kayak is a great idea, BTW.
