Yes because "Christian men" never kill their wives*
*yeh thats sarcasm
That's dumb, too. Christian men don't have their pastors telling them to kill their wives or daughters. Nor, except in some loopy Mormon fringe, do they endorse polygamy or morality killings. That's not the case in fundamental Islam.
So much for your lame attempt at cultural relativism.
The law recognizes a belief/action dichotomy. You may have a religion-based belief that you can marry multiple spouses, but the law in the U.S. (and the U.K., where the OP's linked news article originated) says that you may not act on that belief.
Since the vast majority of Muslims follow the marriages laws of the U.S. and have only one spouse, a blanket warning that women should "think twice before marrying a Muslim" seems quite prejudiced to me.
Not when you consider that muslim men, especially from Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, who marry women here can take their children back to their home land denying the wife access to her children. In some cases, the children are treated like slaves by their own family because in their eyes, the children are mongrel dogs who are half muslim and half American. Even though they may live in western nations, they still live by and act upon their traditions including executing their wife, mother, daughter, or sister should they "bring shame to the family" by daring to be seen with a man who isn't a family member, acting western, or refusing to marry the man her family has selected for her.
you should also do a net search using the term "muslim father, christian mother".
