mrstewart, I suggest you do a net search using the term "honor killing".
I suggest you realize that not all Muslims are bad people...like not all Christians are bad people because we had such great representation from folks like Jim Jones, David Koresh, Ted Haggard, Jim Baker...all in the name of God, right?????
BTW, I have very personal experiences with the Middle East so please do not preach to me...
Murder is obviously wrong (is anything more obvious?), but don't blame polygamy for this, that's a separate issue. Government-enforced monogamy is nothing but genetic communism: it is irrational, unnatural, inefficient, and harmful to economic growth!

So the government should be blamed?????? And how is that a rational argument?
Turkey, Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Baharain, and Dubai are the muslim nations I've been to. True, domestic violence does happen in non-muslim houses. However, those cases are not endorsed by religious leaders nor government officials such as the one in Saudi Arabia that would not annul the marriage of a man to an 8 or 9 year old girl to repay her father's debt.

I'm not blaming the government for this particular murder, just making a brief defense of polygamy, which this thread also attacks.
