Do you feel emotional affairs are wrong?
Excuse me for the "touchy feely" term im not sure how else to phrase it.

You mean when a spouse has another person they confide to? A person who they call when having a difficulty or just in need of advice? If so, then YES I think its wrong.

If married,
Yes, I do because 1) they can lead to the next level
2) it's disloyal - giving something to another that should be given to your spouse.

But, what if the spouse is just interested in themselves??? Does not care about your feeling.

Absolutely! This is the worst kind. I would never tolerate this from my husband.

If that "friend" is of the same sex then I think its okay, but not if its a different sex.

The question was it is "wrong". Yes. You can always justify it. If the spouse is just interested in "themselves", time to leave.

I interpret this to mean an actual romance where you have romantic feelings for another, right?

How do you have an emotional affair and it not become a physical one? Just curious.
