Heh, lots of us 44-year-olds in here! I'm 44 and folks tell me I look like I'm in my early- to mid-30s. A lot of that has to do with the fact that, because I have Lupus, I have to stay out of the sun and be meticulous about sunblock. NOTHING ages a person like the sun does. I don't have one wrinkle or crow's foot on my face.
Soooooo, I have no problem telling people my age if they ask.
Don't care. I read a question years ago that changed my perspective on age. The question was "How old would you be if you didn't know how old you really are?".
I've honestly never considered myself to be proud of my age (at any age lol), but I've never been ashamed of it/hidden it either. I agree with tasmtairy: What's to hide?
I'm normally proud of my age. Most people guess mid to late 20's. The only time I don't like it is when people talk down to me because they think I'm a kid!
I don't make a big deal out of it. If someone asks, I'll tell them the truth. Fortunately, most people think I'm a lot younger than I actually am.
BTW: today's my birthday.
