Once in a while, it's not that big of a deal. 2 and 3 per sentence, I just don't like it. It also depends on the tone. Those anger management needers can make just about anything sound like the F-bomb. "D*mn it" is not a big deal. "God" before it kinda rubs me the wrong way.
I tend to use a lot of replacement works, like flippin, frickin, friggin, mo-fo, shizzle (what the fuzzle??) - just to keep it goofy. I will, however, drop a bomb or two when I'm angry.
If a woman says things like "****!" "damn" "****" excessively I'd be turned off, but if she does it when **** happens then I'd be like "nice now I don't have to watch my language so closely"
As a woman, I'm turned off by foul-mouthed men (or women) who swear excessively, talk crudely, can't control their mouths. What's your take on foul-mouthed people? Are you repelled by it? If you don't want to say in a post, vote anonymously.
The only thing a foul mouth woman would ever get from me is getting shown the way to the door.
Like most polls, the parameters are left undefined. Is a foul-mouthed person one who seemingly cannot control her limited linguistic capacity, and embarrasses you by making remarks in very inappropriate circumstances? Or is it one who has a colorful vocabulary and calls things they way she sees them, but knows when to keep her mouth shut?
I think around children cursing is disgusting. That is not to say that I have not had a slip up or two as a mother infront of my kids, but excessive cussing infront of kids is gross.
