Occasionally I see a not fully grown-up adult in the mirror. That's OK, though. Complete grown-ups are way overrated and boring.
Agreed. But far worse are thirty-somethings who leave a swath of annoyed people, broken hearts or unfulfilled obligations behind them because they can't manage to be responsible in their lives.

While I'm sure of the first and not quite of the second, I have to say I'm taking perfectly good care of my obligations, thank you very much.

Exactly!!! And somehow these people who are immature and irresponsible are allowed to get away free and clear from there responsibility's and still somehow manage to get "cared" for!
Many of these people have kids and skip town, many people drink and drive and put people in danger, many people use public assistance when they don't need it, and many people don't be the best they can be in America when in other country's people are flat out suppressed like China, North Korea or Mexico!
That's not an obligation. It's a minor inconvenience I'm not willing to pay for on a regular basis. Besides, you promised to wash 'em! They have to get sufficiently dirty!
Yeah, one that wore a white glove, did the moon walk and had slumber parties with little boys.

Not too long ago, I watched Ken Burns' documentary, "The War." It told the story of World War II from the standpoint of men who fought in the war. These guys would be interviewed on camera talking about what they did and what the endured, and they were only 18 or 20 at the time.
Today, adolescence doesn't seem to end until people reach at least their mid 20s. Often later. And by that, I don't mean necessarily settling down, getting married, and having children. What I mean is being a dependable person, thinking for oneself, and doing what's right in one's daily life and work, rather than just indulge one's appetites.
I blame a lot on the educational system today, because it has really prolonged adolescence way beyond what it should be.
Ditto to you both.
At least you guys have good heads on your shoulders
You didn't. I just had to make sure I defend at least one of us.
