I'm in a relationship where the guy has been asking about marriage for like 4.5 years. I do not want to get married yet though.

Nope....everyone has to try and top everyone else's smart a** remark.

I find one thing nice about this article: it supports my belief that not all men (or even most) are one dimensional caricatures just interested in sex, food and sports. Men actually have higher goals, emotions, and deeper interests....gasp!

lol!! I feel this is true! Since HS quite a few parents wanted me to "date" there daughters and just recently a older women put me in contact with her 29 year old daughter who she wants to see get married. Never in my life have I felt so honored that people would want ME to marry there daughters. So, at this point, I'm starting to feel like some kind of commodity and I want to hold off to find the best available female.

I feel I have got to this point because I have never desired to get married in my 20's (I'm 29). In America I think it's crazy to get married and have kids so young.

Also, being a young man you should take risks and flex your muscle a little bit (in a positive way) and unfortunately women have a problem with that. Women like safety and security (and fluffy pillows, awww) and they will beat a man over the head with all that safe stuff to the point where a young man will give up his deep ambitions to pursue a desk job because his old lady says it's "safe". Sfff!!!!

Yes, all women are the same, and think exactly the same way, and like/want exactly the same things, so why hold off for someone better when we're all carbon copies of each other? Oh wait - I'm sure by "best available" you were referring to looks.
