i am not including alcohol in this.

on another board (not on cd) i said that this guy took me to an expensive restaurant and dinner was 24 dollars each. a few men said that is not an expensive meal. i consider that much really expensive! if the general consensus is that 24 is not a lot for a meal for someone on a first date, then i have never been taken out to an expensive restaurant at all in my life. my family must been poor or something, because when we have gone gone to fancy restaurants, dinner might be 15 bucks.

the gentlemen on the other board said an expensive dinner is usually around 75 per person.

honest opinions wanted on this

i have never then had ANYONE (family included) take me to an expensive restaurant. i know it sounds like a stupid thing to be upset about, but it almost makes me feel like no one has wanted to ever make a good impression on me.

You know, I'm usually very good with understand people and helping them out, but you are an unsolvable puzzle.

You ask all these questions and give too little information about yourself. There is no way I or anyone else here could give you any helpful advice.....sorry.

Oh no, don't take that the wrong way...ur just like a little curious Georgette. You have wayyyy too many questions for anyone to answer (mostly since I know YOU know the answer to most of what you ask) Anyway, don't worry about the meal, hun. If ur into the guy, it won't cross your mind. Seriously, you seem very ready to meet Mr. Right, don't let dumb stuff like this get in the way. =-)

I am pretty frugal and expensive meals don't impress me at all. But I guess for a first date I could handle $24 each.

Just as happy with an $8 sandwich at a local pub. But depending on the lady, that might not be a great first date.

thats the thing about me. i prefer going to a pub, diner, or coffee shop by far to the places i have always considered expensive. it just would be nice if someone thought it would make me feel good if they took me to an expensive restaurant.

I guess it's just the deadbeats I've gone out with here in Prescott, but I've never had a man pay more than $30 for a meal when they took me out. No, it was $30 for both of us!!!

I haven't had an expensive dinner date with a man since I lived in Phoenix. God, I miss that!! The really nice, NICE places!!
