I think too many are quick to blame for their lack of dating success when what's really turning off is their attitude. A lack of confidence will show right through. There are a lot who project so much confidence that others don't even notice

What a stigma. LOL I know many short men--looking back at my dating history it appears I'm attracted to them but mine were not over weight--none of which are any angrier than taller men. Some are edgy, some aren't. I've known many tall guys who were habitual brawlers. I love stigmas.
I merely observe that aging women as a group for a variety of reasons are in the most woeful position in find a life partner, save perhaps very obese people. Particularly African-American women.
Generally, shorter guys who otherwise have desirable profiles, unless they're at a statistical extreme (beyond 2.5 standard deviations), have few problems over time finding a quality long term partner.
A woman over 40 has very limited options for finding a non-pathological mate unless she's a rare combination of both beauty and exceptionally high education.
