All of them are somewhat on the "heavy" side... like mine... Giselle in particular gives me the creeps. There's something very cold about it... I picture a dominatrix or a jail guard. Sorry if it happens to be yours...
You see, Julia can easily go by Julie (or Tamara by Tammy, let's say), but Julia and Julie have very different "weight" IMO. Of course, you can be a Julie only for so long... It'll sound kinda weird past certain age.
I believe names have an impact on people's lives. I think people with light-hearted, perky, and bubbly names have easier lives.
I've always like the name Julia, it sounds classy, without being snooty. I had a co-worker and this woman he was with was named Julia. She was a real piece of work.

Almost spoiled the name for me.
No offense to JustJulia.
Say!!
Haha, I know it's a strong name, and some Julias are ... not so nice. I went by Julie until I was 24 and got my first corporate job. People take Julias more seriously than Julies.
I have my own Beatles song, so that's good. I also love Julia Child. She's one of the people I would invite to my imaginary dinner party.
I think the only names that have any type of stereotypes are the ghetto trying-to-be-french sounding names like La'quisha, Demarcusdeandra, Pro'pecia, Uretharequa, etc. If you're name has an apostrophe in it, odds are you are not being enrolled in med or law school.
Okay, a million responses to this thread but no one mentioned the only REAL names with stereotypes that I mentioned above. Nine people gave me rep points but no one wanted to mention anything about it here? Crazy.

That might be because you went so nutso making up those names that few people took you seriously. Yes, there are silly names out there. I doubt very many women are named Urethra-whatever you said.
Ugh, my brother just told me the other day they might name their baby Brixton (it's a city in England where my brother lived for 2 years). I understand the whole sentimental gushiness of the name, but Brixton...really?? The poor kid will be teased for years. Their other kids have normal names. Why break that now?!
I know a Giselle, but she goes by Gigi. She hates anyone knowing her name is "Giselle."
Well, hate to break it to your friend, but "Gigi" sounds kinda.............. Geez, what's the word I'm looking for....
