Sounds nice. My condolences to you, mrstewart.

It was very nice...awe inspiring, actually. Thank you for the condolences but we all feel so blessed to have had her in our lives I feel guilty mourning her death. She was an amazing woman who celebrated life!

It sounds like it was a wonderful service - that is what they should be about...bringing peace and honor. Sorry about your friend, mrstewart.

Yeah...it does seem that way. Here's hoping things get better for the upcoming holidays.

It's not you, it has been a pretty tough year...hopefully 1-1-10 will change that!

Yep, we're all gonna scream,"HAPPY NEW YEAR!" when it happens.

I think a lot of people are going to be glad to see this year go.

How are you doing, cricket? Anything on the job front yet? Or are you able to take a breather for a while?

Thanks for asking. I took a four-hour "webinar" this Thursday which meant I sat in front of the computer and held a phone to my ear with a lot of other people across the US while a lady somewhere moved pictures on the screen and we all asked questions.

Tomorrow I have to get in touch with some bosses from my old work and ask them to be references for me. Also I am going to go over my resume with a lady from the outplacement center (the same people who put on the webinar) by phone.

I filed for unemployment online this week - the EDD mails you through the USPS a time they're going to contact you on your phone. They don't email you anything. I guess they want to make sure it's you getting the paperwork, not someone else.

I also have to sign a release from my company giving me some severance pay. It's not much, but it's something.

I think I'll halfway enjoy some of the time off and the other time I'm going to look for a job as much as I can. I really need to work if I want a good life. I don't know what is up ahead, but I'm going try the best that I can.

Chin up girl. Something will come along; meanwhile hang in there and enjoy as much as you can.
