I know a couple of people who didn't have sex until they got married (or tried to anyway). I know others who structure their lives, dating proclivities, and how they should interact with their spouses around a conservative Christian viewpoint. I am not trying to diss people who choose to live a certain life, but it all just seems so bizarre to me.

Do people who let religion guide their relationships and romantic lives freak you out?
They don't freak me out, but I would never date anyone that was religious. None of my friends are religious either. I just have no respect and little in common with church goers.

it seems bizarre to you because you don't do it
it seems equally bizarre to many people, that there are those who can be intimate with someone who doesn't have God in their life
you know what's important to you, in your life and when dating someone
others know what is important for them, in dating and relationship

I think if thats what they believe, then who are we to judge it? (Shrugs)
Depends on how you look at it... While I'm not religious and wouldn't be OK with regular church-going, I definitely don't mind many of the values promoted by religion and it would be great if people adhered to them.
Yesterday I watched a movie (Fireproof), which I knew was going to be on the religious side, but I wanted to see anyway. It was about the positive transformation of a marriage on the brink of divorce. The movie WAS heavily on the religious side, but if being a decent, caring, compassionate, and less selfish person means having a relationship with God or any other powerful image of your choice, I see nothing wrong with it.
well lets see, religion round the world is the keeper of ethics teachings. so if we get rid of religion, we get rid of ethics and then we go do some dating. my my my that does sound like what i ran into.

I thought that was a wonderful movie!
