Not an April Fools Joke. If you listen to the stories from prostitutes they say that most men are less interested in the sex act than just having someone to talk to other than their wives.

If you investigate extra marital affairs you will find that the actual reason has less to do with sex and more to do with loneliness. Many men who have affairs love their wives but just want to interact closely with someone else.

There is not one shadow of a doubt in my mind that I've talked to more prostitutes and know more about the statistics on extra marital affairs than you X 100. Your opinion is yours but don't be quoting it as fact. Cheers!

per OP
islolation is very unhealthy. i agree-- unfair demands and expectations are made on spouses for support. women often feel very threatened by male friendships. when did "male bonding" become a sneer word? nothing wrong with womens group why not men's groups?
too often only male friend she seems comfortable him being with seems to be a counselor. same sex friendships are natural and healthy for couples.
