I was wondering if a guy is already cleaned-up (showered, shaved etc.)
would a guy still seem noticeably more appealing adding a bit of cologne?
I've tried it some nights, and I usually get more "favourable responses" but I'm not really sure why.
One thing I don't like about wearing cologne is that it makes it harder for my nose to detect a girl's perfume.
Most of the time I see other guys wearing cologne, most of them seem to be just as "alone" in a club as the other guys not wearing any... So from an objective point of view, men's cologne seems to do nothing but show others that they believe commercials and are naively believing that it will help them with women; because a heterosexual-man is not likely to wear cologne simply because they enjoy "smelling nice." (vs. a hetero-woman that might feel pampered or like a princess from wearing a good perfume)
Depends on the cologne and the soap you used. Some body washes seem to have a stronger scent, in which case I'd say nix the cologne. If you just a milder scent, then a little cologne isn't bad. Just don't use a lot. I like to just get a slight whiff when a guy's close, not smell you from across the room.
All in all, if you smell fine without the cologne, putting some on will not make me far more likely to jump you. For some guys it might make them feel more attractive and up their confidence, but it's all personal preference.
spray cologne works better than pour plus you have contol on the amount
apply it once to your temple in you neck spread to the other side
spray one wrist then smear it on the other
Well, there's a difference between Brut, and and actual good cologne....
You reminded me of a scene in Crocodile Dundee, where he tries out "Beast" aftershave/cologne. Makes a man irristible was the claim. Can't find a clip, but it was hilarious.
thats very true. always gotta spend a decent chunk of change. cheap colognes make people smell worse!
Maybe I'm showing my guy-ness, but they all smell somewhat-similar to me.
That said, the one's I've used weren't cheap, smell good and I've had better "results" than going without cologne. (dozen's of nights out ) But I wanted to find out if that was a fluke. I don't associate men with fragrances, so for me it doesn't feel natural.
*I'm hoping women on this forum will convince me why it can "work"
Seriously, my brother used that all the time and had no trouble hooking the ladies.
I knew a guy who used "Bay Rum" and it was very nice...
