Has the decrease in constraints made the lives of women much better in your opinion? What are some things that were good changes, and others which were bad changes?

Basically, if you were to dictate how the Women's Liberation and Feminism progressed in the passed few centuries, how would you have made it happen, and what things would you have changed?

It's like asking "were slaves better off after emancipation"!

Women are people with a female gender.

Even if freedom comes with risks and choices, people deserve to be free.

Well said!!!! Although sometimes when I observe the behaviors of many young women today, I wonder "Did we really burn our bras for that?" LOL

That same mentality goes for young men today.

Well, freedom always comes with responsibility.

Would you have it any other way though?
Especially in this recession when many women have become the bread winners in their families?!

No woman should ever become financially dependent on a man.
She should be able to take care of herself and possibly her children in the event that the man turns out to be impossible to live with.

Or lose his job, become ill or die, poor man, such things do happen.
Unless physically or mentally incapacitated or raising many children, there is no reason a woman should be entirely dependent on a man.
